Colorado Leather Balm's Extra Moisturizing Formula is very similar to our Original Formula, with one difference: it contains a higher ratio of lanolin oil to tallow. While the Original Formula is a good fit for leathers that have been well maintained or are newer, the Extra Moisturizing Formula works best for extremely dry and/or old leather. A little oil goes a long way with leather, but when you are dealing with very old or dried out leather, a bit more lanolin oil does help! The Extra Moisturizing Formula comes in a pleasant Orange/Vanilla scent, and in an 8oz sized tin.

Colorado Leather Balm:
Colorado Leather Balm is nature’s original leather conditioner traditionally made from all natural Colorado sourced pure beef tallow. Tallow is PH balanced for your leather because it is the original fat of the leather. Leather (usually) comes from cows, so does tallow. Tallow and leather go together like peas and carrots, peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese...well, you get the picture! Tallow absorbs beautifully into the fibers of your leather, and also acts as a water repellent. (Every tried to mix water and fat? Not gonna happen....) Tallow is still often used in the tanning process called "fat liquoring," so Colorado Leather Balm really is replenishing the fats lost in tanning and also over time as your leather dries out. Tallow is also molecularly very similar to our own skin's moisturizers, so it's not only healthy but excellent for use on skin, as well as safe around pets and children. No yucky mystery chemicals in Colorado Leather Balm! Good for Leather, Good for You™.

Uses:
Colorado Leather Balm Extra Conditioning Formula works great on boots and shoes, saddlery and tack, handbags, belts, holsters, leather clothing or older, dry leather luggage, furniture or leather car upholstery. Not appropriate for suede or nubuck leathers. If in doubt, test it out! Colorado Leather Balm Extra Conditioning Formula is lightly scented with Orange and Vanilla essential Oils.

Ingredients:
Colorado Sourced Pure Beef Tallow, Lanolin Oil, Bees Wax, Essential Oils.

Directions for Use:
Clean leather using a damp cloth rinsed in warm water with a few drops of dish soap (not glycerin based soap- it does not have the right PH balance for leather). When the leather is dry or still slightly damp but clean, scoop a bit of Colorado Leather Balm Extra Conditioning Formula out with your fingers and massage into your leather.  For larger amounts of leather such as leather upholstery, it's fine to use a sponge or cloth to apply the balm.  A couple bonuses for using your hands is that the heat from your skin helps get Colorado Leather Balm deeper into the leather fibers and it's also a great skin conditioner for your hands...bonus! Continue with applications until leather is saturated and does not absorb any more balm. For best results, let sit at least 10 minutes or overnight, then take a clean rag (microfiber or an old washcloth both work great) or a soft bristled brush, and gently rub or buff leather until surface has a deep gleam, is smooth to the touch and no longer tacky. Because CLB absorbs so well, buffing your leather is fast and easy to get that deep luxurious gleam! Before you buff out your leather, you might see some white residue- this is just extra balm on the surface- it will wipe right off. For especially dry leather, this entire process can be repeated multiple times. Note: This product will likely DARKEN leather, as it deeply nourishes, conditions, and protects it. Take special care when conditioning carved or tooled leather or seams- the balm can get stuck down in the carved areas and be difficult to remove later. If you do get balm down in seams or tooling, an old tooth brush works great to get it out, or a short blast with a hair dryer will also liquify and get the extra balm to absorb into your leather seams. Lastly, a little goes a long ways!

I recommend leather balm to my friends now…

I didn’t know it was possible to have hot takes on leather balm until I discovered CLB. We have two high end leather couches that we have had for years and I thought there was no way anything could help these return to their original glory. I was wrong. They both have a new lease on life! I can’t stop recommending to friends now.

Amazing!

I love the consistency, texture, smell and ingredients of this product. The fact that it is from all natural ingredients and are not harmful for yourself , family and pets is the best part! Super conditioning! I loved applying it on my leather jacket. It soaked it up nicely and made it feel so good! I loved even applying it on my hands!

Extra conditioning leather balm

I absolutely love this product! I used the balm on a vintage motorcycle jacket I bought that was not very taken care in its 50 +yrs. The jacket was dry, noticeable worn in areas and faded. After just one application and letting it set for 24hrs. Wow!! I was completely blown away on the results I saw. I have a "brand new" old leather jacket! I've gotten some many compliments on how great it looks and feels. This balm literally has brought new life to a vintage leather jacket. I will be a lifetime user of these products. The staff has been a pleasure to work with and even thru some samples in. I highly recommend 100% !!!

From the first touch it is clear how well this will work…

I purchased the “Extra Conditioning Formula” for the car seats since they started to become dry. Before I used it on the car seats, I used it on several of my “Stefano Branchini” shoes and with the first touch (with my fingers to massage it into the leather shoes) I felt this is good stuff. It feels so smooth, fatty in a good way and the “orange-vanilla” smell is delicious.
There is a little of a color change in the leather (especially noticeable with lighter Braun shoes), but I understand the color change is telling me the shoes needed that treatment.
After a night impregnation I buffed the shoes and they look like never before.
Now getting the car seats ready for a good treatment but I’m sure this will be also a great success. Thankful I found the Colorado Natural Balm on internet while searching for good leather treatment for my car seats (and all the other leather stuff I have…
